TALENTED photographer Dave Burlison is snap happy after winning a clutch of awards.
Dave, who runs Burlison Photography with his wife Janice from a converted barn on the Apsley Estate, in Hurstbourne Priors, near Whitchurch, has won every category he entered in the Master Photographersâ Associationâs Photography Awards, Wessex Region.
The competition is only open to full-time qualified members of the Master Photographers Association (MPA) â the UKâs only trade body exclusively for professional wedding, portrait and commercial photographers.
Dave, who is the only recommended photographer for events at Highclere Castle â home of ITVâs Downton Abbey â was successful in six categories â press/PR, commercial, portrait, fashion, wedding photographer and wedding album design.
In the wedding category, the accomplished photographer got first, second and third place. He was also named Photographer of the Year.
Dave said: âIt was fantastic, as we won every category we went in for, and weâve not entered the awards before.
âTo be members of the MPA, you have to be earning your living as a photographer, and be qualified, and itâs the only organisation in the country to have those standards.
âYou know that photographers that belong to it are going to be the best, so to win all the categories we went in for was really unbelievable. Itâs a huge honour.â
Anthony von Roretz, chairman of the Wessex region of the MPA, said Burlison Photographyâs achievement reflected the firmâs talent when it came to developing the pictures, which is done in-house.
