White Knight Press Releases Complete Full-Color Guide Book for Nikon Coolpix P600 Camera

Henrico, Virginia (PRWEB) June 15, 2014

In early 2014, Nikon released the Coolpix P600, a model that builds on the success of earlier models in the Coolpix P series, but surpasses those cameras with its tremendous superzoom lens, which extends from 24mm at the wide-angle setting to 1400mm at the extreme telephoto end. The new camera also has an impressive array of advanced features, including built-in Wi-Fi, time-lapse shooting, and high-speed video recording.

Although Nikon provides a reference manual for the P600 camera in PDF form, the manual does not explain in detail the best techniques for using the cameras features and does not offer step-by-step tutorials. Photographer’s Guide to the Nikon Coolpix P600, the new guide book from White Knight Press, provides the specific assistance many users seek in order to get the most enjoyment from their camera.

This trade-sized paperback was written specifically for the Coolpix P600 by Alexander White, the author of numerous guide books for advanced cameras from Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, and other makers. As with each of his other camera guides, White took all of the sample photos for this book using his own P600 and worked extensively with the camera to understand its many settings so he could explain them fully in clear language.

The book shows beginning and intermediate photographers how to capture still images and videos with the P600, as well as when and why to use the cameras many options. The book explains topics such as autofocus, manual focus, aperture priority, shutter priority, exposure compensation, white balance, and ISO sensitivity. The book includes detailed guidance for the cameras built-in Wi-Fi features for image transfer and remote control.

The book uses more than 300 full-color images to illustrate the P600s controls, display screens, and menus. The images include photographs captured using the cameras Scene shooting mode, with settings for subjects such as landscapes, sunsets, and action shots. Other examples include shots taken with the Special Effects shooting mode, with its image-altering settings, and shots taken using the camera’s many menu options.

In addition, the book provides introductions to topics such as infrared photography, street photography, and macro photography, and includes a section on the use of the superzoom lens of the Coolpix P600.

The book includes a full discussion of the video-shooting features of the P600, which can capture high-definition (HD) movies with stereo sound, and can record high-speed movies using special settings.

In three appendices, the book discusses accessories for the P600, including cases, external flash units, and power sources, and includes a list of useful web sites and other resources. The book also includes an appendix with quick tips for using the cameras features in the most efficient ways. The book has a detailed table of contents and index, both of which can be downloaded for examination at whiteknightpress.com.

The paperback version of the Coolpix P600 guide book is available now for a list price of $24.95 through Amazon.com; it also is available in a Kindle edition through that site and in an edition for iPads and iPhones through the Apple iBookStore. The book also is available for $9.95 in downloadable PDF and ebook formats through whiteknightpress.com, and it is available from numerous other online booksellers.
