Despite the reduced price points, the entry degree of the DSLR market is essential for building customer loyalty. The new Canon EOS 1200D has replaced the Canon 1100D and finds its place just below the ultra-small Canon 100D as the first camera in the line-up. Rather than major overhaul of its predecessor, the 1200D is more of a light upgrade that in conjunction with the brand new app being launched for iOS and Android is made for beginner users. The app gives the user a walkthrough of the cameraâs key functions. There are also tutorials and inspirational challenges to have new users motivated with different ideas to use out.
Featuring an 18 million-pixel sensor, the camera includes a Digic 4 image processor that has proven it to be a decent performer in other Canon models. Aimed squarely for the entry level users, it comes filled with many automatic modes, including Auto Scene Recognition and many Creative modes to capture images with a different look, something which may appeal to mobile phone and compact camera users. On the trunk of the camera is just a 460k dot resolutions, three inch screen, which can be neither touch sensitive, articulating nor tilting. It is connected by an optical viewfinder that offers a 95% field of view.
