Canon aims at wooing aspiring photographers in India with EOS 1200D priced ...

Providing a nice break from all the mirrorless offerings that are flogging the market right now, Canon has gone ahead and released the EOS 1200D in India. For a DSLR, a price tag of Rs 30,995 can be considered a great deal, and while this cost applies only to its body, a standard 18-55mm bundle will set you back by Rs 34,995.

The Canon EOS 1200D succeeds the much loved 1100D which was due for a refresh since long. And given its price, this new snapper really does have some great value for money riding on it. The DSLR offers 9 AF points and an ISO range of 100 to 6400 (boost to 12800).

This camera’s sensor is an 18MP APS-C CMOS one, while it carries onboard the tried and tested DIGIC 4 processor as well. Canon has also blessed the EOS 1200D with a 3-fps drive mode among other offerings. Furthermore, video enthusiasts will be pleased to know that this product does 1080p full HD shooting at 24fps as well 30fps and 25fps formats.

Moreover, it’s also capable of stretching up to 60fps but at a 720p HD resolution. The Canon EOS 1200D ships with a 3.0-inch TFT monitor placed on its 129.6mm x 99.7mm x 77.9mm body. Like we said, when coupled with an 18-55 lens, the Canon EOS 1200D can be bought at Rs 34,995. But there’s also a Rs. 39,995 package containing the body, an 18-55mm lens and a 55-250mm lens.
