Amazon DSLR Camera Specials For the Week – More Deals on Canon, Nikon ...

Amazon DSLR Camera Specials For the Week - More Deals on Canon, Nikon ShootersRecently, some blog posts highlighted the Canon EOS C300 video camera, a device used by James Chressanthis in the shooting of made-for TV movie “The Watsons Go to Birmingham.” The camera, which is a bargain-priced shooter for professional users at around $14,000, is well above the price range of the average shopper, but the average buyer doesn’t have to pay so much for a good-quality digital camera. Retailers such as Amazon have ongoing specials on Canon and Nikon cameras, given that DSLRs are among the hottest-selling items on the consumer electronics market. Here we take a look at some of Amazon’s discount deals on DSLR cameras, particularly those from the aforementioned Canon and Nikon.

The Canon EOS Rebel T3 is one of the more affordable DSLRs out on the market, and Amazon regularly sells it for $389.99, with prices as low as $320 for used cameras under More Buying Choices. That’s not a bad price to pay for a camera that includes a 12.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, and a 18-55 millimeter IS II lens, with EOS HD Movie Mode as a selling feature. Like many other cameras presently selling at a discount, Amazon would require users to create an account and enter personal data in order to view discount pricing, but in cases like this, it could be useful to check “More Buying Choices” to get a better idea of pricing before making a purchase.

Likewise, the EOS Rebel T3i, which includes a similar lens, as well as an 18-megapixel sensor and DIGIC 4 Imaging tech, is listed at a regular price of $509, and used pricing can go as low as $445.99, but shoppers would need to be Amazon members in order to view actual discount pricing on a new unit.

One of the higher-end Canon DSLR cameras available on Amazon is the EOS 70D, a shooter that includes a 20.2-megapixel sensor, a Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus, and an 18-135 millimeter lens as basic features and specifications. Pricing is presently at $1,546.98, but those willing to pay for a used unit can get it for as low as $1,299.99, once again under Amazon’s More Buying Choices.

Moving onto Nikon’s DSLR deals, the D3200 comes with a 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, and an 18-55 millimeter NIKKOR Zoom Lens with f/35-5.6 aperture. Though quite solid compared to today’s DSLRs, it is listed by Amazon as an “OLD MODEL”, and it is priced accordingly at $509.99, or around $90 less than its regular pricing of $599.95.

The Nikon D7100, on the other hand, is available a la carte (“Body Only”), with no lenses or accessories bundled in. Pricing on this camera, which comes with a 24.1-megapixel DX-Format CMOS sensor, is at $1,146.95, or $53 less than the regular price of $1,199.95.

Another Nikon camera selling individually with nothing else bundled in, but with premium specifications is the D800, which comes with a 36.3-megapixel CMOS FX-Format sensor and a price tag of $2,796.95. That’s about $200 less than the camera’s regular price of $2,999.95.
