Oak Park, River Forest police blotter: Nov. 4

•A Chicago youth was arrested at 2:45 p.m.. Oct,. 22 for burglary to a motor vehicle owned by an Oak Park resident and was released to a parent.


•An 18-year-old Chicago resident was charged with domestic battery of a Chicago resident on the 500 block of North Lombard Avenue at 5:46 p.m. Oct. 22.


•A wood saw, Black and Decker drill kit and Stanley hammer with brown wood, all worth $55, were stolen between noon and 5:30p.m. Oct. 31 from a storage unit of a building on the 400 block of North Austin Boulevard, where the lock was pried.


•A gray Compaq laptop computer, 1-carat white-colored stone ring and half-carat white-colored stone earrings, all worth $600, were stolen between 9 a.m. and 6:50 p.m. Oct. 31 from a home on the 500 block of Washington Boulevard.


•A resident entering the back door of a home on the 100 block of South Harvey Avenue at 12:48 p.m. Oct. 20 caused a burglar to run out the front door where the deadbolt lock was broken for entry, causing $175 in damage.


•Three Hewlett Packard laptop computers, an Apple iPad, gold diamond bracelet and an X-box 360 game system, all worth $2,750, were stolen between 8:32 and 11:23 a.m. Oct. 30 from a home on the 800 block of Mapleton Avenue, where the rear basement door was forced open.


•A coral necklace and Sony laptop computer, both worth $6,500, were stolen between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Oct. 28 from a home on the 800 block of North Taylor Avenue, where the rear door was forced open.


•A gray mini Apple iPad, Garmin global positioning system unit, an Apple iPod and $20 in coins, all totaling $1,670, were stolen from a home on the 900 block of Taylor Avenue, where the rear basement door was forced open between 7 a.m. and 4:25 p.m. Oct. 28.


•Two men in their 20s forced the rear door of a home on the 900 block of North Lombard Avenue between 8 and 10:56 a.m. Oct. 23 and took Minolta and Nikon 35mm cameras, a MacBook Pro computer, Apple iPad, Beatles Rockbook game and Wii gaming system. They then kicked in the side door of the garage and took a woman’s orange five-speed bicycle and a man’s chrome Mercier Kild II single-speed racing-style bicycle. The total loss was $5,250.


•A white Apple MacBook, black Dell and brown Asus Zenbook laptop computers, a Canon Elf digital camera and cash, all totaling $4,250, were stolen between 8:45 a.m. and 12:55 p.m. Oct. 22 from a home on the 200 block of Taylor Avenue, where the locked side door was forced open.


•Jewelry, a purple Apple iPod MP 3 player, black backpack, Canon Powershot camera and two silver Apple MacBook laptops, all worth $2,990, were stolen between 9:30 a.m. and noon Oct. 22 from a home on the 200 block of North Harvey Avenue, where the rear door was forced open.
