Canon EOS Kiss X7/100D/Rebel SL1 "White Kiss" Released [UPDATE ...

Recent announcements state that the new white camera will be released in Japan on November 28th.

The Canon EOS X7/SL1 in white will be a version of the Canon EOS100D, the smallest DLR in the world. According to the French camera website, Pixelistes, the basis of the camera is the same, where the little camera could find its place in handbags and could possibly appeal more to women, simply because it takes great pictures and looks nice. Canon Rumors also just released some photos of the new Canon EOS X7, check them out below.

The original buzz started when Dicahub originally spotted the teaser, where it announces a November announcement. The photo in the ad looks like a camera hidden under a nearly-sheer white sheet, and when you darken the picture you may see a bit more of the detailing.

Canon Watch reported that Dicahub did a size comparison of the teaser image and the SL1 and T5i, where it looks like the DSLR is about the same size as the SL1. So, we may see a follow-up coming out soon.

There was no firm answer what “white world” means for now, so we may have to wait for more teasers to surface.

Just a few days ago, Canon Korea released a new teaser for a camera in an ad showing what seemed to be a DSLR under a white cloth that was semi-see through. PetaPixel also noted that Japan has added to the big tease that the Koreans have started, where Canon Japan has released a video about the same camera.

This teaser isn’t like the Nikon teaser for their recent DF camera with a man in the Scottish highlands on a little whimsical journey, rather, a pair of white lips wishing a Merry Christmas. The title does give it away, where the Canon Rebel DSLRs are known as the Kiss lineup in Japan. This video, in turn, confirms that this is a new DSLR for consumers.

Check out the video here.
