Camera360 is looking good thanks to a recent update adding support for Sonyâs âsnap-onâ QX10 and QX100 cameras.
The update, which we first heard about back in a September press release, is now finally live in the App Store. Camera360 4.7 for the iPhone and iPod touch is indeed compatible with both QX cameras, allowing iDevice owners to use the application to shoot QX-powered images (rather than using Sonyâs own much-criticized PlayMemories Mobile app).
Besides this, the application now also auto-adjusts shooting settings depending on the present environment.
Changes made in the updated app, then, include:
- Intelligent detect shooting environment to take amazing pictures.
- Newly added Sony Lens-style cameras mode, the magic choice for phone photography.
Gary Gu, marketing director of Camera360, discussed QX support back in September. He said: âThrough working with Sony DSC-QX100 and DSC-QX10 cameras, weâre making it easier for mobile photographers to capture high quality pictures with the most popular and professional filters. Weâre making continuous improvements to provide a better photography experience for global smartphone users.â
Of course, this new feature aside, Camera360 is nevertheless a great standalone iPhone Camera app replacement.
Lots of features, including impressive photo effects, photo montages, self portraits, low-light shooting, and enhanced editing tools make it a fair match â and even a better option â than Appleâs own built-in Camera application. Support for Sony QX cameras means users of the snap-on product have another reason to choose Camera360 over Appleâs Camera app.
Camera360 can be downloaded in the App Store free of charge, and is optimized for the iPhone and iPod touch.
