Father"s Day and Graduation Deals Include Canon and Nikon DSLR Cameras ...

Fathers Day and Graduation Deals Include Canon and Nikon DSLR Cameras on NeweggQuite fittingly, Newegg has included several DSLR cameras as part of its Father’s Day and graduation consumer electronics specials, and what better way is there, really, to capture those memories? Most of these deals include a camera and one or two lenses, though there are also some deals wherein you can purchase the camera a la carte, or in body-only form. Without further ado, let’s get to those deals and see how much you can save by purchasing a DSLR camera on Newegg today.

The Canon EOS 70D bundle with 18-55 millimeter STM f/3.5-5.6 lens, for starters, is available for $1,149, or $200 less than the original selling price of $1,349, and with that, buyers would get a camera that features a 20.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, a 3-inch LCD display, and Canon’s proprietary DIGIC 5+ image processor.

And if you’re in the market for a body-only deal, the Nikon D5200 can be purchased for $596.95, an even $100 discount off full retail pricing of $696.95. Basic specs include a 24.1-megapixel DX CMOS sensor and a 3-inch LCD display. The latter camera can also be purchased with an 18-105 millimeter VR lens kit bundled in, in which case it will cost you $896.95 – that’s also $100 less than the original price of $996.95.

While Canon and Nikon cameras are usually the ones you’d find on electronics specials, Newegg has some cameras from other manufacturers as well, such as the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ70K, which features a 16.1-megapixel sensor and 60x optical zoom, and costs $298. Once again, that represents a $100 discount off regular retail pricing of $398.

If you’re looking for an even bigger discount, one that’s going to save you way more than a hundred dollars, the Olympus Stylus XZ-2 features a 12-megapixel sensor, Olympus’ TruePic VI image processing tech, and a bundled-in 27-108 millimeter f/1.8-2.5 lens. Pricing is now $299, or half the original price tag of $599. In addition, the Sony Alpha NEX a6000 mirrorless DSLR camera, which includes a 24.3-megapixel Exmor sensor, can be purchased in body-only form for $598 (reg. price $648).

Now, what’s most interesting in Newegg’s Father’s Day and graduation DSLR specials are the combo deals available that include more than just a camera and a lens. For instance, the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 can be bundled in with a 75-300 millimeter lens, a 32 GB SDHC memory card, a 50-millimeter f/1.8 telephoto lens, and a Dolica sling bag; total pricing is $687.99, and that’s $277.99 less than what you’d pay if you purchased all of the above items separately.

Nikon fans, on the other hand, can check out the D5200 bundle on the bottom of Newegg’s deals page – that includes the Nikon D5200, a 16-85 millimeter f/3.5-5.6G VR lens, a 32 GB memory card, new Energizer ENB-NEL batteries (replacing the EN-EL14 that comes with the camera), and a Dolica sling bag. You can get this bundle for $1,212.99, which is $177.88 less than the full-fat pricing for all items purchased separately and combined.
