What’s your photography background?

Like a lot of photographers, we fell in adore with photography during a immature age and motionless we wanted to learn all about it. So we picked adult books about it. At a time, it was still film photography, and we was unequivocally shabby by Ansel Adams. He had these books called The Camera, The Negative and The Print, and we review those religiously to learn myself. Later on in college, we minored in photography during Chico State.

How do we put people during palliate during a boudoir shoot?

It starts approach before a print session. we always accommodate with them first, get to know them and turn friends a small bit. we unequivocally get to know them, and for me, that’s a outrageous factor. we feel if we get to know somebody—it takes a while—but that gets their ensure down. Ultimately, it comes down to trust. The day of a print shoot, they let their ensure down since we’ve built that substructure of trust.

What inspires you?

I’m constantly desirous by so many opposite things on a daily basis: healthy beauty, travel, engaging lighting, people, music, a square of clothing, an picture found on Tumblr, a mood or an emotion. we always have this need to create.

What cameras are in your arsenal?

I use a Nikon D800, Polaroid SX-70, Polaroid 250 Land Camera, Polaroid Spirit, Holga 120 and a Minolta XD-5. My husband, Milan, and we have this collection of maybe 50 cameras we got during preservation stores and garage sales. We only need to put film in them to see that ones work.

What’s many rewarding about your job?

When it comes to wedding, boudoir and customer work, it’s when they get their cinema behind and they’re only so changed by a images. People can be unequivocally concerned and nervous, and afterwards to go by a event they have a good time and afterwards they get a images behind and they’re only in adore with them. It’s kind of addicting to see them so excited.
