ENHANCED: Camera360 to support Sony QX10 and QX100 Lens Cameras later ...

As satisfied and fascinated I’m of Sony’s lens camera concept, as frustrated I was of the little bit too basic functionalities of the required Sony PlayMemories Mobile app – as I wrote in my recent DSC-QX10 review. But it looks like customers can rejoice soon. As PinGuo, maker of Camera360, announced today, it has teamed up with Sony to include their range of photography software on both, the Sony DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 lens-style cameras. Camera360 is said to become the first photography software to be customized especially for the QX10 and QX100, which connect to a smartphone via WiFi and/or NFC, and Camera360 has incorporated this into the upcoming updated app via the “Sony Camera” mode.

This feature will allow smartphone users to search and connect to a Sony lens camera manually so that users can save their images on a microSD card in the lens-style camera.

With an average 4.5 stars rating, free Camera360 has become one of the more popular mobile camera apps for Android. It comes with seven shooting modes that include effects mode, self-portrait mode, quick-shoot mode, funny mode, tilt-shift mode, color-shift mode and audio camera mode. Live effects enables users to view in real-time.

The new Sony lens-style cameras are expected to go on sale worldwide later this month and the V4.8 update for Camera360 apps including the “Sony Camera” mode will be available to download at around the same time.

Cheers ~ Arne
