Â
The Xperia Z is a 5 inch 1080 display phone with sporting Sonyâs triluminous display. The phone runs on the Android 4.2Â Jelly Bean and has a 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, 3000 mAh battery. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core clocked at a speed of 2.2 GHz.
Â
This phone is known for a 20.17 megapixel primary camera which puts any other phone in India into shame. The only phone to compete with this Sony marvel is the Nokia Lumia 1020, which is a dual core and is yet to come to India.
Â
The Sony camera is a very good upgrade over last yearâs 5-incher Xperia Z. In order to make it best in its class the camera has been  coupled with a 1/2.3-inch Exmor Rs. CMOS image sensor, Sonyâs G Lens (27mm wide angle, f2.0 aperture) and Bionz image processing engine which Sony users in its standalone cameras.Â
Â
Â
The Sony phone has already made a debut on the Indian store flipkart with a coming soon tag. The store is expected to put the phone on pre-order on the 18th this month.
Â
Expected price:
Â
The phone is coming to Singapore at a price of 998 Singapore Dollar. That converts to more than Rs 45000 in Indian currency. Last year Sony released the Xperia Z at Rs 38900 in India and thus we are expecing the Xperia Z1 to be priced at about Rs 40000 in India.
Â
This phone will be available in Black, White and Purple colours. Like its predecessor it will be water and dust proof.
