We have been trying to keep you up-to-date with all the latest Canon EOS 70D news, but we failed to report a new development last week. We will now put that right by informing you that the new DSLR from Canon is to get improved support from Apple.
Having Apple software support for the new Canon 70D DSLR is a great selling point for the camera. Once the 70D is released you will be able to use RAW image formats, which allows for higher image quality in Aperture, iPhoto and also OS X, as well as other software that is able to decode raw formats.
Adobe had already given their support for the 70D back in July, although they did say it was preliminary.
That is not the only camera Apple has offered this kind of support for, as the Fujifilm X-M1, Leica M, Nikon Coolpix P330 and many more (see here) join the list as well.
The Canon 70D release was said to be at the end of August, but as yet we have not seen any sign of this, and so we still await those all-important Canon 70D hands-on reviews.
However, we do have a short review of this camera with a Sigma lens, as well as a preview of the Dual Pixel AF.
